Mission Statement The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (FSCPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. We believe that our libraries are now more important than ever. We work to advocate for our libraries and support our libraries’ children’s literacy programs, book & media purchases, concerts, author talks, community reading programs, technical & facilities upgrades and more.
Volunteer Duties Current volunteer opportunities: volunteers needed to sort donated books and media, particularly CDs and work cashier shifts in the Friends Bookstore in the Downtown Library Branch. Upcoming opportunity: help with set up/take down and working shifts during our Spring Book Sale at the Civic on May 26th and 27th. Call or email for additional volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
